Canadiens: Carey Price rocks NHL world with ridiculous Game 3 save vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Spezza had to be feeling great based on that set-up pass by William Nylander on the power-play. But, Spezza took a little too long to let off the shot, allowing Price to get the stick save. With that stop, the Canadiens escaped the penalty kill unscathed and entered the first intermission with both teams scoreless.
Price was unstoppable in Game 1, as he stopped 35-of-36 shots on goal by the Maple Leafs to secure the 2-1 victory. The Canadiens goaltender did not have the same success in Game 2, as he allowed four goals on 33 shots in the 5-1 loss.
While there is still a ways to go in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Price may have very just clinched the save of the entire 2021 season on Monday night.
