The Washington Wizards are looking to even their first-round series with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. 

We still don’t have a good idea of who will crawl out of the Eastern Conference this year, but the Philadelphia 76ers are trying to make their case.

The Sixers had a pretty ugly Game 1 win over the Washington Wizards, only winning by 7 points to a team it should have launched into the sun. Tobias Harris was the savior of the day, and a glance at the box score suggests the plus/minus for guys like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons played a good game.

But in the conversation about title contenders emerging from the East, the Wizards are a rumor at best. As the Nets feast on the soul of the Celtics in their first-round series, the 76ers had better be looking to make an example of the Wiz as a means of flexing toward Brooklyn and showing it can play the same game.

Of course, nothing would be more satisfying as a narrative than having Russell Westbrook meet his former Thunder teammates, Kevin Durant and James Harden, in an Eastern Conference playoff series.

Talk about bizarro-world, but also talk about entertaining.

The 76ers-Wizards Game 2 action will tip-off from Philly at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBA TV.

Streaming options include Fubo, which is lowkey a great way to be able to legally stream the game if you’re worried about Uncle Sam knocking on your door. Should you need other means, the game can be watched via the NBA streams subreddit community.
