A fan spent nearly $90,000 to attend the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul celebrity boxing match on Sunday, June 6 in Miami, FL.
With just a week to go before Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul are set to enter the ring in Miami, FL, the fight is turning into a hot commodity for consumers to go to a sporting event
So much so that the celebrity boxing match’s ticket prices are going through the roof. According to Darren Rovell from Action Sports HQ, a fan spent nearly $90,000 to watch the fight from a ringside view.
Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul will take place on Sunday, not Saturday
On top of the expensive price tag to attend the fight live, the pay-per-view broadcast will take place on Sunday, June 6, instead of Saturday, June 5. Triller Fight Club has an event the night before, which features Teofimo Lopez. To avoid a conflict, Mayweather-Paul will have its own date on Showtime to attract its largest audience possible.
The bout is Mayweather’s first boxing match since he stopped Conor McGregor in August 2017. Mayweather has an unblemished 50-0 record and has maintained a public persona for many years, making him one of the biggest household names in all of sports.
As for Paul, he has become famous through YouTube and a plethora of other platforms, reaching millions of subscribers across the globe. His brother, Jake Paul, has also joined in the action himself, most recently defeating Ben Askren in April.
While Mayweather is a massive favorite against the YouTube sensation, that isn’t to say that a punchers chance for Paul is out of the question. If Paul does happen to win, the world would take notice, as it would likely be one of the biggest upsets of 2021 in sports.
Can Mayweather methodically break down Paul and showcase superior boxing, or will one punch send the world into a frenzy? Regardless, the fight dawns June 6.
