NBA Twitter lost its mind over Knicks first playoff win since 2013
By Josh Hill
The New York Knicks won their first playoff game since 2013, and Twitter lost its mind.
For the first time in eight years, New York Knicks fans are celebrating a playoff victory.
A win eluded the Knicks in Game 1, with Trae Young ripping the hearts of fans out with a game-winning shot that was paired with a taunt about shutting up a ruckus crowd.
All of that came back in Game 2, as Young and the Hawks were the ones silenced and Knicks fans finally got to indulge in the catharsis of celebrating the end of its playoff nightmare (or, more accurately, playoff-less nightmare).
We may eventually reach a point where the general basketball public tires of the obnoxiousness of Knicks fans but that time is still a ways off. Only the grouchiest of grouches is bah humbugging the sense of joy emanating from Knicks fans either in the Garden, marching through the streets, or celebrating in whatever corner of the world they watched the game.
Twitter was ready to help pop the champagne bottles after the Knicks captured Game 2.

And if you’re wondering how Knicks fans waved goodbye to Trae Young, it was with two fingers.
New York is back, baby.
