Chiefs fans will love the latest good news to come out surrounding the health of Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs will go as far as Patrick Mahomes will take them this season. That is true every single year he is under center.

Fans saw him hobble around last postseason and ultimately end the year getting chased around and hit hard by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense in the Super Bowl. That led to concerns surrounding his turf toe injury that required surgery at the start of the offseason.

But a positive update is out as the Chiefs are starting some offseason workouts.

Patrick Mahomes is progressing well and Chiefs fans should be thrilled

Mahomes being ahead of schedule is great news for the Chiefs, and it is not like he needs to be going full-speed in the month of May. But if he is, however, the rest of the NFL needs to prepare for potentially his best season yet.

Mahomes set the world on fire back in 2018 when he threw 50 touchdowns and won the NFL MVP Award. That was tough to top, but winning the Super Bowl the following season was a nice follow-up.

The franchise handed the young man a contract that could be worth up to over $500 million, and that obviously makes his health a top priority. Andy Reid’s goal now should be to ease Mahomes back into action as the Chiefs try to avenge last year’s Super Bowl defeat.

Turf toe has the potential to be a nagging injury, but it appears that won’t be the case for Mahomes. That is just the latest chapter in his constantly growing legacy. It’s not like he needed any more motivation, yet here this is to inspire him further.
