There’s a chance Amazon may carry on delivering some packages, but they also utilize USPS and other couriers services that recognize the holiday. If you want something delivered in time for any holiday, is always best to plan accordingly and order well in advance.

USPS is one of the most affordable, convenient and reliable delivery services available. There are just ten public holidays each year – including Memorial Day – when they do not deliver:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

USPS post offices will not be open on Memorial Day, but the good news is they resume full services the next day. That means you only have to wait until Tuesday, June 1st to send or receive mail again.
