Anthony Davis let worried Los Angeles Lakers fans know that he plans on playing in Game 4.

Even after Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said that Anthony Davis was questionable to play in Game 4 against the Phoenix Suns with a left knee sprain, Davis cleared the air real quick: He is going to play, period.

After a tough showing in Game 1’s road defeat to Phoenix, Davis and the rest of the Lakers have stepped up their efforts in the last two playoff games. Los Angeles has the potential to take a commanding 3-1 series lead with a win over the Suns on Sunday afternoon. Keep in mind that the Lakers are finally healthy and not your typical 7-seed that had to play in the play-in tournament.

As long as Davis is healthy and fully engaged, the Lakers can hold their own in any game they play.

Los Angeles Lakers: Anthony Davis reassures everyone he will play in Game 4

Should the Lakers hold serve and win at home on Sunday, they will have the No. 2-seeded Suns on the brink of playoff elimination heading into Game 5 early next week. Phoenix has too much pride to fall to the Lakers in its first playoff series in over a decade by way of a gentleman’s sweep. However, if they extend the series, the Suns will be up against it in Game 6 when it comes back to Staples Center.

The Lakers have the ability to be the most dangerous No. 7 seed of all time. The lowest-seeded team to win an NBA Finals was the Clutch City Houston Rockets from a quarter of a century ago as a No. 6 seed. If Davis can play up to his lofty standard and stay healthy, he will be a big reason the Lakers repeat as NBA champions. He may have an ailing knee, but he has to help carry his team.

If Davis says he is going to play, good luck trying to tell him he is not allowed to give it a go.
