NBA Twitter reacted to the Los Angeles Lakers’ Game 4 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
After winning Game 3, the Los Angeles Lakers looked poised to advance into the second-round at the expense of the Phoenix Suns. All they needed to do on Sunday was defeat the Suns at Staples Center to push them to the brink of elimination.
Despite a late comeback attempt, the Lakers could not overcome both the Suns and the absence of star forward Anthony Davis, as they fell 100-92 in Game 4. With that, the series is now tied at two games apiece. Many on Twitter decided to share their thoughts on the Lakers’ loss.

The Lakers will lament those two layups from LeBron and Schroder that rolled off the rim and the turnover by Gasol that halted the momentum in their comeback attempt, but when you fall down by 18, all the plays that lead up to that point are what got you there.

The Lakers would've won that game if AD had been able to play the second half. They go as he goes. He's the most valuable Laker.

Suns are 38-of-118 from three (32.2%) in this series, with a less than 100% Chris Paul.

Yet, they are tied 2-2 with the Lakers and regained homecourt advantage.
Series tied with Anthony Davis' status very much in question. Just a bad day for the Lakers all around

I’m not giving up on the Lakers, but I will admit that it looks very, very bad right now.

Lakers: Los Angeles loses Game 4 100-92 to Suns
While the Lakers loss would normally garner the most attention, that is not the case here. All of the focus will be on Davis, who injured his left leg after an awkward landing on a layup attempt. After he did not emerge from the locker room for the second half, the Lakers confirmed that Davis was ruled out with a left groins train. His status for the remainder of the series now remains in serious doubt.
James did try his best to bring the Lakers back, but it was not enough. Through 38 minutes, James scored 25 points (10-for-21 from field), grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded six assists. The star did not get much help out of the rest of his starting lineup, as Andre Drummond, Dennis Schroder and Wesley Matthews tallied 19 points.
As for the Suns, they received a stellar performance from their entire starting lineup of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges all scored double digits in the game.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday night in Phoenix. If Davis is ruled out for the remainder of the series, the Lakers will need an unreal performance by James to help them get the win. If they can’t, it may very well spell the end of the Lakers in the playoffs.
