Tony La Russa gave a quote on stolen bases you have to see to believe

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa has a quote on stolen bases you need to see to believe.
You never know what Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa will say when you put a microphone in front of him.
Though the South Siders have played well this season under their hall-of-fame skipper, he continues to say strange things at the podium in his first season back in the MLB after a decade out of it. When it comes to stolen bases, La Russa plans on cutting that back from the White Sox’s overall offensive philosophy. While that is fine and all, he needs to respond like an adult should.
What is next? Will we be getting responses in agonizing third-person or retorts of “me no likely”?
Chicago White Sox: Tony La Russa believes stolen bases problems are “ouchy”
Let’s be real. As long as the AL Central-leading White Sox keep winning, La Russa can say whatever he damn well pleases at the mic. Winning is a panacea for everything in the world of sports, and you can never get enough of that good stuff. However, if the White Sox swoon at some point this summer and get overtaken by the Cleveland Indians, La Russa will be entirely to blame.
Chicago is among the best teams in the AL this season. While it should not be championship or bust with this team, that is not how Chicagoland is looking at it. The White Sox should be able to win the AL Central and get to the ALCS this season. Anything short of that will be viewed as a failure, or as La Russa would say it, “ouchy”. Otherwise, it will be “ruh roh” on the South Side.
Should the White Sox keep winning games, let’s see how much baby talk we will have to endure.
