2. Oklahoma

Baker Mayfield’s accomplishment of earning the starting quarterback position as a walk-on at both Texas Tech and Oklahoma is amazing. As a Sooner, he threw for over 12,000 yards with 119 touchdowns. He led the Big-12 three times in efficiency and completion percentage while leading twice in passing touchdowns. Mayfield also led the NCAA twice in efficiency and completion percentage. He was an All-American in both 2015 and 2017 while winning the 2017 Heisman, Walter Camp, Davey O’Brien and Maxwell Awards. Mayfield finished third in the 2016 Heisman voting.

Sam Bradford threw for over 8,400 yards with 88 touchdowns. Bradford led the Big-12 and NCAA twice in efficiency and led both once in passing touchdowns. In 2008, he was an All-American and won the Heisman Trophy and Davey O’Brien Award.

Jason White had an amazing career that doesn’t receive the publicity that it should. White threw for almost 8000 yards with 81 touchdowns. He led the Big 12 in efficiency twice and passing touchdowns once. White was an All-American in 2003 while winning the Heisman and Davey O’Brien Awards. He also won the 2004 O’Brien as well as the Maxwell and Johnny Unitas Awards.

The Sooner trio threw for over 28,000 yards with 288 touchdowns and won three Heismans.
