With the Atlanta Braves struggling this season, the front office needs to be aggressive and make some trades to help out the club.

Here we are in early June and things have not gone according to plan for Brian Snitker and the Atlanta Braves. As of this writing, the club is 26-28 on the year. For Atlanta to be two games under .500 is a total shock, especially considering the expectations heading into the season.

With that said, the front office needs to go out and make some moves before the deadline to improve the roster. In this piece, we take a look at three different players Atlanta should waste no time in trying to acquire.

Given the Marcell Ozuna situation, this is outfield-heavy for a reason.

3. Ketel Marte

With Ozuna’s future with the club in the air right now after he was arrested for a domestic dispute — with the police report stating he threatened to kill his wife — the Braves would be wise to go after a stud outfielder. How about Arizona Diamondbacks standout Ketel Marte?

Marte is in the middle of a brilliant year for Arizona, as he’s hitting .347, with four homers and 13 RBI in 20 games. Marte has missed most of the season due to a hamstring injury, but he’s back at full go for Arizona.

For the Diamondbacks, they’re in the middle of another awful campaign, as they’re currently in last place of the NL West standings with their 20-37 record. With the postseason basically not an option for them this year, they would be wise to keep rebuilding and get a big return for Marte.

Atlanta would of course love to land him, as Marte can suit up at different positions. With his great offensive and defensive abilities, he’d be right at home in Atlanta and could help the club take things to a new level this season. While Marte would cost some top prospects, he’d most certainly be worth it for the team.
