The Florida Gators welcome the USF Bulls to town as part of the 2021 NCAA baseball tournament.

Florida’s first game of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament will be against South Florida as the Gators host the Bulls as part of the Gainesville Regional.

The Gators, the No. 15 seed of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament, have shown the potential to be a great team, but haven’t always lived up to it. At 38-20 overall and 17-13 in the SEC, they are certainly one of the better teams in the country, but still have some work to do to prove it’s one of the very best.

That said, the Gators have been great at home as they enter the NCAA tourney with a 28-7 record at home.

USF, meanwhile, struggled to make the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament, but got hot at the right time and won the American Athletic Conference Championship.

Here’s what you need to know to watch USF and Florida in the Gainesville Regional.

Florida Gators vs. South Florida Bulls: How to watch NCAA Baseball Tournament

  • Date: Friday, June 4
  • Time: 11 a.m. CT
  • Location: Gainesville, Florida
  • Venue: Florida Ballpark

  • Live Stream: Watch ESPN

Even though USF was able to win its conference championship, the Bulls still have a rigorous task ahead of them as they try to handle the Gators in Gainesville. USF’s overall record this season sits at 28-27. In away and neutral-site games, the Bulls are 14-15.

That’s a stark contrast to how good the Gators have been in games in their home park. UF has only lost one home series all season, and that came during the opening weekend against the Miami Hurricanes.

Since then, the Gators have been just about unbeatable in its own ballpark, including having taken a series from the Vanderbilt Commodores, who earned the No. 4 overall seed in the tournament.
