Tennessee Volunteers slugger Drew Gilbert had an epic bat flip after his walk-off grand slam against Wright State.
The Vols will face Liberty on Saturday with a chance to advance, but to get to that point they had to get through an upstart Wright State squad. Tennessee has defied the critics all season long, and they did so again on Friday night.
Wright State had won 21 of their past 23 games, but came up against stiffer competition come the tournament. Down three in the bottom of the ninth, the Vols hit a walkoff grand slam courtesy of Gilbert.
Ice in his veins.

Gilbert unleashed a bat flip that would make Fernando Tatis, Jr. jealous
Wright State won’t be going home just yet, either. They get to face Duke in another elimination game. Yes, college baseball is weird like that.
Gilbert has clearly bought into new-age baseball. The likes of Tatis, Ronald Acuña and Juan Soto are more relevant role models than the stars of years past.
