Both Alabama and UCLA have national title aspirations this season and both teams certainly have rosters that could get them a championship this year.
The UCLA Bruins are a very well-rounded team and have plenty of power at the plate to compliment a very dangerous pitching duo. UCLA has hit 75 home runs so far this season while the Bruins’ duo of Garcia and Megan Faraimo has struck out 357 batters.
Alabama doesn’t quite have the same sort of approach at the plate as the Crimson Tide has only hit a total of 39 homers this year. But Alabama’s still scoring (so far 344 runs score this year) while also relying upon a dominant pitching duo of its own. Fouts and Lexi Kilfoyl have struck out a combined 448 batters this year.
Expect this matchup to be a close one as Alabama and UCLA face each other on the second day of the Women’s College World Series.
