Many are wondering what was the context of this video from Saturday’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Atlanta Braves game.
This weekend of MLB action featured a rematch of this past season’s NLCS between the Atlanta Braves and the defending World Series champions in the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves held a 3-1 series lead in the postseason, but the Dodgers bounced back to take the remaining three games. Now, the Braves had their chance to have some revenge in the 2021 regular-season.
During the game, an out of context video surfaced (courtesy of The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya) of an interaction between the Dodgers dugout and Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman. While the context is missing, it does serve as a perfect timeline cleanser.

Completely random, yet hilarious.
The Dodgers took the first game of their three-game set on Friday night by the score of 9-5. Atlanta held a 1-0 for nearly four innings following Freeman’s solo home run in the bottom of the first. However, the Dodgers scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning, capped off by a three-RBI double by second baseman Chris Taylor.
Atlanta won Saturday’s game 6-4 to even up the series. The Braves scored five runs off Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw in the bottom of the third on an RBI single from Freeman and a pair of two-RBI doubles from Ozzie Albies and Dansby Swanson. Abraham Almonte capped things off with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the victory.
