By Ethan Lee
The Oklahoma Sooners and the Georgia Bulldogs are trying to stay alive in the 2021 Women’s College World Series.
It was a little shocking to see the Oklahoma Sooners fall on the first day of the Women’s College World Series. The James Madison Dukes turned the college softball world upside down by absolutely stunning the Sooners, beating Oklahoma 4-3 in eight innings.
Now, the team that appeared as if it could just take an easy path to the final series is faced with elimination.
The Georgia Bulldogs, like the Sooners, are also facing elimination. The fact that Georgia lost on the first day of the Women’s College World Series isn’t as shocking if you just looked at their experience during the regular season, but UGA has been hot in the post season and, prior to losing 3-2 to Oklahoma State, looked like a very good team in the NCAA Tournament.
But now, like OU, Georgia can’t afford to lose again. While the winner of this game gets to continue on in the Women’s College World Series, the loser of this contest will head home, their season complete.
Here’s what you need to watch the Oklahoma Sooners and the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2021 Women’s College World Series.

Georgia claimed game one of the doubleheader, winning 7-6 in nine innings. Oklahoma won the second game with ease, beating UGA 12-3 in five innings.
And now, the two teams are hoping to keep their seasons going as they play in the elimination bracket of the 2021 Women’s College World Series.
