On top of all of the technical issues that the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul card is facing, another aspect is the emptiness of Hard Rock Stadium.

In what was supposed to be a star-studded night in Miami, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul pay-per-view is off to an ugly start, to say the least. From technical issues preventing paying customers from enjoying the action to the empty Hard Rock Stadium, the blockbuster boxing event is becoming infamous for all of the wrong reasons.

Numerous MMA and boxing journalists who are covering the event live quickly noticed the discrepancy in the audience ahead of the night’s main event.

Twitter reacts to an empty Hard Rock Stadium

Hard Rock Stadium, which plays host to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, is used to sold-out stadiums during football season. With everything going on and all of the build-up that went into the event, this is arguably the last thing that Showtime Sports wanted to have happen, especially with Mayweather headlining the event on a rare combat sports evening.

Here are some scenes of the emptiness of Hard Rock Stadium during the undercard portion of the event. At press time, Mayweather and Paul are set to make their ring walks.

This paired with the Showtime app crashing seconds before the fights were to begin created not so good of a look for Mayweather vs. Paul.
