2. Clemson grooms quarterbacks to be Heisman finalists and top NFL Draft picks

You could argue there is no program at getting quarterbacks ready for the next level than Clemson. Thus far, the Swinney era of Tigers football has had two of its signal-callers be Heisman Trophy finalists and be first-round picks in their respective NFL Drafts in Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence. Archie, Peyton and Eli were selected as No. 2, No. 1 and No. 1, respectively.

While Manning will have to live up to his family’s draft status no matter where he commits, Clemson might be the program best equipped to get the most out of him, while also trying to do something nobody in his family has ever done: Win the Heisman Trophy. The best part is Manning has another blue-chip talent to learn from for at least a year in rising sophomore D.J. Uiagalelei.

As with Lawrence and Watson before him, Uiagalelei is every bit the player those two were coming out of high school. While Lawrence and Watson played in nearby Georgia, Uiagalelei came to Clemson all the way from California. He did this because he knows he can achieve all that Watson and Lawrence did at Clemson before him and then some. That could be very appealing to Manning.

No matter where Manning decides to commit, it likely will happen sometime before or after his junior season Isidore Newman. You typically see a blue-chip quarterbacks commit early with the idea of helping recruit the class behind him. While getting other five-stars and four-stars to commit to Clemson should be easy, Manning has to be at its forefront.
