Ohio State adds elite WR Kaleb Brown to nation’s No. 1 recruiting class
By John Buhler
Kaleb Brown makes it three prized wide receiver recruits for the Ohio State football recruiting class.
With four-star wide receiver Kaleb Brown committing to the Ohio State football program on Monday evening, the Buckeyes should have one of the most complete and versatile receiving corps in the country.
Brown is the third wide receiver in this Ohio State class, joining five-star Caleb Burton out of Austin, Texas and four-star Kyion Grayes from Chandler, Arizona, who committed earlier this year. According to the 247Sports Composite, the Chicago native is the No. 2 player from Illinois, the No. 6 wide receiver in the country and the No. 63 player nationally in the 2022 recruiting class.

The addition of Brown to the Ohio State recruiting class strengthens their grip on the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class.
Here is a look at what Brown could do in Buckeyes uniform after committing to Ohio State.
Ohio State football: 4-star WR Kaleb Brown commits to the Buckeyes
While Brown had been offered by the Buckeyes a little over a year ago, he had yet to make a visit to the Columbus campus until this past weekend. His primary recruiter to Ohio State was wide receivers coach Brian Hartline.
“It’s unreal,” said Brown to 247Sports. “I was lost for words. Coach (Ryan) Day offered. Coach (Brian) Hartline was on there too. Everything’s been good (with Hartline). A good relationship is developing. I’ll visit when I get a chance.”
As for what Brown will bring to the Buckeyes, look for him to be more in line with the multi-purpose receiving back like Curtis Samuel.
Brown has played running back in high school and is an adept receiver out of the backfield. If other receivers on this team begin to play outside of the numbers, he could be a dynamic playmaker in the slot.
Ohio State’s deep receiving corps has gotten even better after Brown’s commitment on Monday.
