Chicago Cubs slugger Joc Pederson belted a homer against the San Diego Padres and then trolled Fernando Tatis Jr. shortly after.

There are some early fireworks going on in San Diego thanks to Chicago Cubs slugger Joc Pederson. With the San Diego Padres up 1-0 and Yu Darvish on the bump, Pederson tied things up with one sweet swing of the bat. That isn’t the end of the story, though.

As Pederson was rounding the bases, crossing home plate and making his way to the dugout, he did his best Fernando Tatis Jr. impersonation. Cubs fans in the stands loved it, while the San Diego faithful were less than impressed.

Joc Pederson doing his Fernando Tatis Jr. impersonation was spot on

It was one thing for Pederson to even the score up in the top of the fourth inning, but for him to pull off this savage move against Tatis and the Padres is really something else. In the video above, you can even see the cameras zoom in on Tatis’ face. You could tell just how stunned he was while watching Pederson.

There’s no question Tatis is one of the most electric players in the game. Whenever he’s at the dish, he has the potential of going yard. On top of that, his swagger is unmatched, which we see with his home run celebrations.

Well, Pederson decided to give Tatis a taste of his own medicine after taking Darvish for a ride. Who in the world saw this Pederson move coming? The next time Tatis is at the plate, you better believe he’ll be swinging for the fences to try and shut Pederson and the Cubs up. Until then, Pederson is the biggest villain in San Diego, no doubt about that.
