1. New York Knicks

Walker was born in The Bronx, and he has acknowledged how close he came to signing with the Knicks before agreeing to terms with the Celtics two years ago.

Now, as the Knicks consider a lot of possible options in a search for offensive firepower this offseason, they are easily tied to Walker again. The Knicks always fall short of lofty aspirations to add a star, but they have real promise for the first time in a long time and Walker feels like someone they can get.

The Knicks have the cap space to absorb Walker’s salary for next season without issue and still make other moves in free agency. They also have some young players who could be used in trades, as well as extra first-round picks this year and in 2023. There are sign and trade options too, once team options are picked up, etc.

Here’s how the Knicks, once and for all, can bring Walker back to his home state.
