The Tucson Super Regional will feature Arizona and Ole Miss and the Wildcats and Rebels face off in the NCAA Baseball Tournament with hopes of making the College World Series. 

The Arizona Wildcats are set to host the Tucson Super Regional as part of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Wildcats will face off against Mike Bianco and the Ole Miss Rebels. Both the Rebels and the Wildcats are looking for a chance to make it back to Omaha and the College World Series.

Coming out of the SEC, the Ole Miss Rebels have shown plenty of potential for success this season. The Rebels have racked up a 44-20 record this season and have even taken a series from the Vanderbilt Commodores.

But Ole Miss also showed some weaknesses this year and at one point the Rebels had lost four consecutive series. The Rebels have seen the vast majority of their success happen at home, so it’ll be intriguing to see what they do against a good team while in a completely different timezone.

With a 43-15 overall record and a 21-9 record against Pac-12 teams this season, the Arizona Wildcats were one of the best teams in the country this year. Arizona earned the Pac-12 crown and is just one of two teams from the conference to advance on to the Super Regionals.

Arizona has been a consistent winner all season, but the Wildcats have been particularly great at home this year. The Wildcats boast a 29-7 record in Tucson this year. That could present a problem for the Ole Miss Rebels.

Tucson Super Regional: How to watch Ole Miss vs. Arizona in the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament

  • Game one: Ole Miss vs. Arizona at 8 p.m. June 11 on ESPNU
  • Game two: Ole Miss vs. Arizona at 9 p.m. June 12 on ESPN2
  • Game three (if necessary): Ole Miss vs. Arizona at 8 p.m. June 13 ESPN2 or ESPNU

Ole Miss had one of the toughest regionals in the entire NCAA Baseball Tournament, but the Rebels were ultimately able to make it through.

Ole Miss beat SEMO 6-3 and then got past Florida State 4-3 before Southern Miss handed the Rebels a solid 10-7 loss. In the seventh game of the Oxford Regional, Ole Miss found a way to beat Southern Miss 12-9 and advance on to the next round.

In the Tucson Regional, the Arizona Wildcats won with ease, sweeping their foes by a combined score of 21-7. Arizona beat Grand Canyon 12-6, UC Santa Barbara 4-0 and then UC Santa Barbara again 5-2.
