Patrick Mahomes and family share first pictures of daughter Sterling

Patrick Mahomes didn’t win a Super Bowl last season, but he still had a great year. The introduction of his daughter Sterling proves just that. 

Patrick Mahomes might not be getting as much asleep as Chiefs’ coaches would like lately, but it’s safe to assume he doesn’t mind. He and his fiancé Brittany Matthews are more than happy to sacrifice some of their rest while parenting their daughter, Sterling.

The power couple had been careful to keep their child out of the public eye until taking to Twitter to publicly introduce her to the world on Friday. Brittany published a photo of the entire family of three with the caption “Hi, my name is Sterling.”

It’s really only a matter of time before Sterling becomes a superstar on her own right. Perhaps she’ll become the first daughter to take over for her father as the starting quarterback of an NFL team. There’s also an opportunity for her to pursue a soccer career on the team her mother co-owns.

At the very least, she is set to instantly become the most popular young child in the NFL. Expect the Mahomes family to carefully avoid overexposing her to the media, but she will get a ton of camera time when she watches her father play on Sundays. She may instantly overtake Jerry Jones as the league leader in camera time for non-players.

It’s time for the world to get familiar with Sterling. She and the rest of her family are going to continue to be a fabric of U.S. culture for years to come.
