Alabama football freshman Ga’Quincy McKinstry is going by Kool-Aid McKinstry now.

Freshman defensive back on the Alabama football team Ga’Quincy McKinstry is now going by Kool-Aid McKinstry. Oh, yeah!

The five-star defensive back from Pinson, Alabama is going by his nickname of Kool-Aid now. He is now listed as Kool-Aid on the team’s official website. What makes this even cooler is he will be wearing No. 1 for the Crimson Tide, so when you go to RollTide.com and check out the roster, guess who shows up first? Among the best nicknames in the SEC, McKinstry’s is right up there.

We simply cannot wait for head coach Nick Saban to talk about Kool-Aid at the Alabama podium.

Alabama football just got even cooler with the addition of Kool-Aid McKinstry

Over the years, the Yellowhammer State has given us some incredible nicknames with its SEC football players. Whether it has been Big Kat Bryant, Smoke Monday, Boobie Whitlow or technically, Julio Jones, the SEC knows that if you can ball, you do not have to go by your given first name. While we are not sure how Kraft Heinz feels about this nickname, McKinstry is in his bag.

With name, image and likeness entering the forefront in college athletics, think about the branding McKinstry could do with a Tuscaloosa area billboard centered around his favorite beverage. Oh, yeah? Oh, yeah! The best part is red is Kool-Aid’s signature color, which is right in line with the Crimson Tide. Too bad the Michigan football team cannot participate in this summertime fun.

Ga’Quincy McKinstry may be Kool-Aid McKinstry now, but he will never be Decoldest Crawford.
