By Mark Powell
Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed in the team’s Euro match against Finland.
Eriksen’s status is unknown at this time, and it’s unfair to speculate given the severity of the incident. In the 43nd minute, Eriksen was hit with an errant ball in the back of the leg, and collapsed to the ground immediately.
The video of the injury is rather frightening, but doesn’t tell the full story. Out of respect to the Eriksen family, it has only been linked above.
Paramedics rushed onto the pitch to aid the Intern Milan attacking midfielder, and there are no further updates to provide at this time.

The Denmark players formed a wall around their fallen teammate as to block cameras and media from seeing the treatment.
UEFA suspended the match given the severity of Eriksen’s injury. it would’ve been unfair to expect either team to continue playing in that regard.
The soccer world paid respects to Eriksen, and wished him the best in his recovery.
