Joel Embiid is having himself a game on Monday night and NBA Twitter can’t get enough of it.

Fresh off being named to the NBA’s All-Defensive Second Team, Joel Embiid is enjoying a dominant night at the other end of the floor to start Game 4. With his Philadelphia 76ers seeking a 3-1 series lead against the Atlanta Hawks, Embiid has been in attack mode from the get-go.

Embiid has been particularly effective while being guarded by Clint Capela. NBA Twitter was full of jokes during the first half as Capela struggled to contain the Cameroonian big man.

NBA Twitter reacts as Joel Embiid torches Clint Capela

Capela is typically one of Atlanta’s best defenders. He narrowly missed out on an All-Defensive Team nod himself after finishing as the league’s top rebounder and posting two blocks per game. However, Embiid had his number early on Monday night.

The Sixers held a 62-49 lead at halftime in Game 4. Embiid had 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting along with 10 rebounds in the first half alone.

Capela and the Hawks need to find a way to make up the double-digit deficit and even up the series before it swings back to Philadelphia for Game 5. But if Embiid continues to build on his torrid start, Atlanta may be heading back to Philly facing an elimination game after dropping both games in Atlanta.

Either way, you know NBA Twitter will have jokes for the losing side.
