Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa was down to his last strike, and then tied the game with a clutch home run.
Correa is in a contract year, and moments like this could help persuade the Astros to sign him long-term, rather than letting the face of their franchise leave for greener pastures.
Heading into the game, Correa was hitting .288 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs. As a shortstop, he’s also very sound defensively.

The Astros scored four more runs in the tenth inning, leading Houston to one hell of a come-from-behind victory. Those runs came off one swing of the bat — a Jose Altuve grand slam.

Houston Astros: Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve come up big against the Texas Rangers
The Astros are still fighting with the Oakland Athletics in the American League West, in what’s expected to be a season-long race to the finish. Per usual, Oakland’s band of misfits will be a tough out, but the Astros entered the season as favorites for a reason.

As much flack as Altuve and Correa have gotten for the sign-stealing scandal, they remain two of the best infielders in all of baseball for a reason.
