NBA Twitter destroyed Giannis Antetokounmpo for fumbling a potential game-tying attempt with the series lead on the line.

Game 5 will be a tough one to swallow for Milwaukee Bucks fans. They held a considerable lead over a shorthanded Brooklyn Nets team, and then Kevin Durant happened. KD went off to the tune of a 45-point triple-double, and the Bucks had no real response.

It’s tough to blame the entire defeat on Antetokounmpo, as the Greek Freak had 34 points on 14-of-22 field goals. Yet, it’s one play with the game on the line that will cement his status as the Game 5 WOAT.

Just light a wide receiver who can’t handle the big moment, Giannis’ let that ball go right through his fingertips, and by the time he recovered, it was too late.

Less than an hour after Charles Barkley picked the Bucks to win the whole damn thing, they choked away Game 5. Antetokounmpo’s could be the symbolic moment in a failed playoff run, assuming they don’t win the next two games.

Antetokounmpo’s stellar performance at home in Milwaukee will all be for naught if the Bucks don’t at least send this series back to Brooklyn. Holding a sizable halftime lead, it all fell apart quite quickly when they faced adversity.

Durant won this game for Brooklyn. Don’t let anyone fool you. But Antetokounmpo had every opportunity to play spoiler late, and couldn’t handle the moment.
