The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the New York Islanders in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

In a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Finals, the Islanders got some early revenge in Game 1 with a 2-1 victory. New York’s defensive-oriented style of play was able to lead Barry Trotz’s crew to a narrow win, shutting down the Lightning’s star-studded offensive attack in the process.

New York’s third line has been a storyline of their postseason run. They acquired Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac from the New Jersey Devils at the trade deadline, and that move paid dividends nearly immediately.

The Islanders’ Power Player was also hitting at around 28 percent heading into this series, tilting the ice considerably when they have a man advantage.

The Lightning have the more experienced goaltender in Andrei Vasilevskiy. He’s arguably the best in hockey for a reason. Add in the offensive firepower, and Tampa is favored to win the series. However, should they fall behind 0-2, it’ll be tough to see them coming back in what’ll become a best-of-five.
