‘Slim Reaper’ was trending on Twitter as Kevin Durant’s legendary playoff performance delivered the Brooklyn Nets a victory in Game 5.

The Milwaukee Bucks were well on their way to heading home with a 3-2 series lead until Kevin Durant completely took over Game 5 with a playoff masterpiece.

Durant notched a triple-double while playing every minute for the Brooklyn Nets. The two-time NBA Finals MVP finished with 49 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists as the Nets overcame a 17-point third-quarter deficit.

Here’s what NBA Twitter had to say about an epic night for the Slim Reaper.

Durant’s Game 5 triple-double is a playoff masterpiece

Having missed all of last year with an Achilles injury, Durant left everything on the court Tuesday night to seal a crucial win for Brooklyn. With Kyrie Irving out and James Harden returning from an injury, he scored 20 of Brooklyn’s 33 points in a tense fourth-quarter comeback. There was just a single lead change in the game, but it came when it mattered most.

With the win, Game 5 became an instant classic for KD and the Nets. It may even be the greatest individual playoff performance of all time.

Anyone who thinks Durant can’t carry a team to an NBA Championship is biting their tongue after one hell of a show. If Milwaukee can’t pull off a win in Game 6, this game will forever haunt Bucks fans as the one the Slim Reaper took away.
