DraftKings U.S. Open Picks: $7,000 Range

Paul Casey ($7,900) – Though he’s not winning, Casey has just continued to pop up time and again in big events, whether it was T5 at THE PLAYERS or T4 at the PGA Championship. His veteran presence at a reasonable price will make him a popular pick on DraftKings.

Abraham Ancer ($7,900) – Ancer is another player who should be popular for PGA DFS players at the U.S. Open but I’m less bullish. He’s another player who’s lack of length concerns me and, frankly, there are better options out there.

Matt Fitzpatrick ($7,800) – Sometimes this narrative can be overblown but Fitzpatrick does thrive when the course is more difficult, which would seem to fit here. He’s been having a really nice and complete season thus far and could be great value here.

Sam Burns ($7,700) – Few players on the DraftKings have the volatility of Burns, which is a gift and a curse. He has shown he can come up and win against the best in the world but also that he can miss a cut in any given week. That’s a lot of risk to take on but, as stated, it could be worth it.

Jason Kokrak ($7,600) – This is probably the best value play you’re going to find at the U.S. Open. Kokrak is playing the best golf of his career and checks the boxes for what plays at Torrey Pines. Getting that type of player at this price is something you may have to join the chalk on.

Marc Leishman ($7,400) – Admittedly, Leishman hasn’t been displaying the best form we’ve ever seen from the big Aussie. With that said, his work around the greens could help him here and, frankly, this is a bit of a gut feeling on my part that he could have a nice week.

Harris English ($7,300) – English quietly battled some injuries that caused him to lose some fantastic form that he showed last season. Now healthy, he seems to be back in the mix but his PGA DFS price hasn’t quite caught up to that yet. That could be to your benefit here.

Garrick Higgo ($7,200) – Last week’s winner at the Palmetto, the 22-year-old South African has been winning around the world. Now, that doesn’t mean he’s going to now go and win the U.S. Open by any stretch. But it does say that he could be a great value performer at this price.

Stewart Cink ($7,200) – Cink is one of my favorite sleepers this week as the veteran has added length off the tee to compete here. As long as his putter is locked in, he has the game to put forth a strong showing at Torrey Pines.

Ryan Palmer ($7,100) – It’s a bit unfortunate that Palmer’s recent finishes have been less than stellar — five-straight outside the top 30 — because his game should fit this venue well. At only $7,100, though, he still might be worth a look in some of your lineups.
