England lacked creativity in their match against Scotland on Friday afternoon at Euro 2020.

A draw is a draw, and England now have four points through two matches at Euro 2020. The Three Lions stand in good position to move on to the next round with just one game to go. So, picking up a point isn’t all bad for English soccer fans.

Yet, a draw to their neighbors Scotland makes for interesting headlines. When that draw is of a 0-0 scoreline, and came with very few opportunities…the back pages should be flooded come the weekend.

English soccer fans are used to disappointment. Their performance on Friday was underwhelming, and suddenly all the frustration is coming out. Despite attending very few live sporting events due to the pandemic, England were booed off the pitch at Wembley. Incredible stuff.

Euro 2020: England soccer fans unhappy with draw against Scotland

The result itself wasn’t so bad. How it looked is what English soccer fans are the most frustrated about. Having said performance against your neighbor and rival only makes it worse.

As one can imagine, social media was buzzing after England failed to score against Scotland. Here are some of the best we could find:

For Scotland, this was exactly the kind of game they were comfortable in. England never really tested them over the top, and played more side-to-side if anything. By playing behind the ball and crowding England at every opportunity in their own half, they never faced much pressure in their own box.

The frustration is real in England.
