3 offseason moves Philadelphia 76ers need to make after embarrassing playoff exit

Add more shooting help
Philadelphia has a laundry list of things to do this offseason in order to fix whatever ails a roster that should be a lot better than it is.
A major area of need that needs addressing as the Sixers offseason starts is a need to add more shooting help in free agency.
Seth Curry, Danny Green, rookie Tyrese Maxey, and Shake Milton all provided a much-needed boost, but the work is far from done. Offsetting Simmons inability to both attempt and make three pointers only took the Sixers so far, and this offseason will need to be spent adding shooting help to ensure the positive gains made don’t get completely undone.
Moving Simmons could help fix this problem. As mentioned before, trading Simmons for either Bradley Beal or CJ McCollum would go a long way to killing to offensively stunted birds with one stone. Free Agency could get tricky based on what sort of money the Sixers have available, as the team has a ton of money tied up in the contracts of Simmons, what they’ll pay Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris.
Victor Oladipo would be a steal, as would Kelly Oubre but both will command top dollar from a contender and neither are in the price range Philly will enter free agency with. Ditto the likes of DeMar DeRozon and Mike Conley, both of whom would also add a veteran presence that would undoubtedly help The Process but both unlikely to join. Buckle up for at least a few days of Damian Lillard trade rumors, highlighted by the fact that Morey has made it his business to make eye-popping moves so who knows what he’ll do to try and fix what has gone wrong in Philly.
The fix to the problem could be as simple as making a much more reasonable deal for someone like Doug McDermott, but whatever the Sixers do it’ll need to be motivated by a need to add more shooting.
