3 keys for the Milwaukee Bucks to reach the NBA Finals
It’s hard to stop Trae Young, but the Bucks can limit the Hawks’ role players
Part of what makes Atlanta so dangerous is their ability to space the floor and knock down shots. They have a generational type of talent in Trae Young who is becoming more like Stephen Curry by the day with his scoring and playmaking abilities. Guys like that are nearly impossible to stop, but the same can’t be said for the Hawks role players.
It seemed like every win against the 76ers featured a new Atlanta player stepping up and producing. Lou Williams was clutch in Game 5, and Kevin Huerter poured in 27 points in a Game 7 victory. Traditionally, role players aren’t able to play at that high level for an entire seven-game series, which is why it’s so important for the Bucks to put a stop at any hope they can play a huge factor.
Milwaukee did an excellent job of this after Game 2 against the Nets. Granted they dealt with injuries, but it was essentially Kevin Durant single-handedly taking on the Bucks by himself. Guys like Joe Harris and Landry Shamet had little to no impact even with Durant’s heroics.
That’s the same game plan that’ll draw up a formula to beat the Hawks in this series. On the flip side, it’s going to be the same thing that could make or break the Bucks.
