Details and mugshot emerge from Alex Caruso arrest in Texas

Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso mugshot and details from his arrest on Tuesday in Brazos County on marijuana possession charges. 

While the offseason off the Los Angeles Lakers is just getting started, Alex Caruso isn’t making things any less stressful.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard was arrested on Tuesday in Brazos County. The official charge is procession of marijuana, which is a reminder that Texas is not among the states where weed has been legalized.

Caruso is among the many questions that the Lakers need to find an answer for as the front office tries to sift through the rubble of the team’s first-round demolition at the hands of the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Playoffs.

After his arrest, Caruso’s mugshot popped on Twitter which sent Lakers Nation into a frenzy over what exactly had happened.

Of all the awful things someone could be arrested for, possession of marijuana is pretty low on the list. Still, it’s not what anyone would define as a great look especially for a guy who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

That being said, Caruso’s scrappy play was a big part of the Lakers bench the past few seasons, and he has the type of Matthew Dellavedova vibes that seem to work well in LeBron-led rosters.

For what it’s worth, LeBron doesn’t seem bothered at all by news of the arrest. In fact, he was already joking about it before the dust had completely settled.

Neither the Lakers nor the NBA have made any public comments or statements on Caruso’s arrest. While not an extremely serious charge, it’s one that no doubt will make the Lakers night a lot more stressful than it might have already been.
