5 NFL throwback uniforms we have to see in 2022
2. Seattle Seahawks throwback uniforms (Largent Era)
The Seattle Seahawks always have some great uniform combinations, but the throwback ones are uniquely amazing. Nowadays, they use that lime green too much, when back in the day, it was used just right. The lime green acted as accents on the sleeve on the jersey and the helmet—the hint of green mixed with the blue jersey the perfect combination. The silver pants compliment the green and the blue like it’s a match made in heaven.
The helmets are even more a sight to see. With the Seahawk logo connecting in the back, it gives a 360-degree feel, which was cool back then, and still cool now. The use of green for the eyes and part of the wing makes it stand out, a nice touch. It might not look as fierce as the current Seahawks logo, but its color coordination is leaps and bounds above the current version.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers throwback uniforms (Creamsicles)
When you think of throwback uniforms, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ “Creamsicle” uniforms immediately come to mind. Although they were awful when they wore these uniforms back in the day, at least they had some style.
The cream pop orange is so bright and stands out so much; it can grow on you over time. The hints of dark red create a nice contrast, so it’s clear you know what jersey you are looking at what number is on it. Some might call the color combination ugly, but it’ll make its mark as a favorite after a few times.
What makes these uniforms so iconic are the helmets. A simple white color is on there, but that old “Bucco Bruce” logo is a clean as it gets. From the blade in his mouth to the pirate-like wink he gives off, that logo is mean and fierce. If they get the green light to make a “Tampa Tom” version of “Bucco Bruce,” the Buc might be sitting on a gold mine soon.
