Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman all reacted to the Los Angeles Clippers’ Game 5 win over the Phoenix Suns to keep their NBA title hopes alive.

The goal for the Los Angeles Clippers was simple — win Game 5 to keep their NBA title hopes alive. After winning their first Western Conference Finals game in franchise history, they fell to the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 to reach the brink of elimination.

The Clippers prevented the confetti from dropping in Phoenix Suns Arena, as they pulled off the 116-102 victory to bring the series back to Los Angeles for Game 6 on Wednesday night. As is always the case, Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith and Colin Cowherd all shared their thoughts on what took place following Game 5.

Clippers stave off elimination with 116-102 Game 5 win over the Suns

There was plenty of talk about the play of one Paul George, who continues to play at a high level even with Kawhi Leonard out of the lineup. In Game 5, George scored 41 points (15-for-20 from field, 3-for-6 from three-point line), grabbed13 rebounds and dished out six assists.

As Cowherd brings up, Reggie Jackson continues to shine in the playoffs. In 38 minutes of playing time, Jackson recorded 23 points (8-for-14 from field, 4-for-7 from three-point line), five rebounds and three assists.

Smith did not have a tweet sent out, because he was live on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt to give his thoughts on Los Angeles’ win. He started off by giving huge credit to Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue for leading the team away from elimination. Lue now holds a 10-2 record in elimination games following Monday’s victory.

“Incredible guts. Incredible heart. Incredible coaching on the part of Ty Lue,” Stephen A. Smith said on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.

Smith continued by talking about the huge game that George had.

“It really all comes down to Paul George. 41 points. Just a spectacular performance. He was absolutely sensational. Playoff P showed up and he showed up big time.”

The Clippers will look to bring this momentum into Game 6 and feed off the home crowd in Hollywood, in hopes that they can force a Game 7. But it will be interesting to see how the Suns respond to this loss on Monday night.
