Former FSU, Seahawks WR Tamorrion Terry indicted in 2018 Georgia nightclub killing
Former Seattle Seahawks rookie Tamorrion Terry was released by the team after being indicted on a gang-related mass shooting.
Seattle Seahawks rookie receiver Tamorrion Terry, along with 10 others, have been indicted on murder charges related to the shooting and killing of one woman in 2018, according to The Miami Herald.
Terry and the others involved were indicted by a grand jury in Georgia last week on a gang-related mass shooting at Studio 2.0 Nightclub in Ashburn, Georgia last week, per the Herald. One female victim and at least seven others were shot at the club.
Terry redshirted his freshman year at Florida State after the shooting but played three seasons for the Seminoles. He accumulated 118 receptions for 2,221 yards and 18 touchdowns in 31 games for the team.
The Seahawks waived Tamorrion Terry after murder indictment
The Seahawks waived him on Wednesday without an injury designation. After being considered a late-round draft pick in 2021, Terry went undrafted, and Seattle signed him as a free agent in May.
Jontavious Coley, Devascea Blanks, Martez Edwards, Tavis Greene, Malik High, Devian Morgan, Quantavious Morgan, Brandon Nixon, Demetrice Smith and Damias Ward were the other 10 co-defendants per the court documents. They, along with Terry, have been charged with felony murder.
The shooting happened in June of 2018, and Coley was arrested days later. The Georgia Bureau of investigation knew he didn’t act alone, but it took the Turner County Superior Court grand jury indictment last week for the others outside of him to be charged with a crime.
As of Thursday morning, Terry was in jail, according to the Turner County jail website.
