3 Nick Foles trades the Chicago Bears should pick up the phone and offer

The Chicago Bears could get something of quality in return for backup quarterback Nick Foles.
After trading up to get Justin Fields out of Ohio State, veteran quarterback Nick Foles has become completely expendable for the Chicago Bears.
This is the because the Bears have a future franchise quarterback in Fields, as well as an incoming free agent in Andy Dalton who will be this team’s stop-gap starter for 2021. Since the Bears have prioritized getting Dalton and Fields this offseason, they have huge trade leverage if they put the Super Bowl 52 MVP on the market. What teams would make the most sense to trade for Foles?

The Tennessee Titans could really use a high-end backup for Ryan Tannehill
The Tennessee Titans won the AFC South a year ago, but face stiff competition in the division from most notably the Indianapolis Colts. Ryan Tannehill has been phenomenal during his first two years in Nashville. However, he did lose his offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. He may regress, but his team traded for Julio Jones only a few weeks ago.
While Tennessee will remain a ground-centric offense built around bell-cow back Derrick Henry, the Titans are going nowhere if Tannehill gets hurt. Trading for Foles would ensure this year’s team won’t skip a beat if its starting quarterback goes down. Dealing for Foles would likely cost the Titans a day-three pick next year, but he would provide the insurance the Titans would need.
On paper, Tennessee is a top-five team in the AFC, but the Titans can’t afford to see Tannehill miss a single start. Otherwise, it will be guys like DeShone Kizer or Logan Woodside backing him up. While they might be serviceable in this backup role, Foles has proven himself time and time again that he can play within an offensive system and help guide a contending on a magical playoff run.
Trading for Foles helps raise the Titans’ backup quarterback floor and they will still remain viable.
