3 Chiefs fighting for their job in training camp
The Kansas City Chiefs are the Super Bowl favorites again, but these three players may not be on the roster to help them make another run.
The Kansas City Chiefs will again be favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2021 despite falling at the final hurdle last season, but not every player involved in the previous campaign will be along for the ride this year.
Kansas City possesses the ultimate cheat code in quarterback Patrick Mahomes and, having seen the Tampa Bay Buccaneers end their dreams of a repeat, added depth in key areas of need during the offseason to stack the deck further in the favor of the NFL’s most explosive quarterback.
Their additions do not guarantee the Chiefs will be lifting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles next February, but they do mean that some players who have enjoyed the benefits of playing Mahomes will not be afforded that same luxury this season.

Here we look at three players on the Chiefs’ 90-man roster who face a potentially difficult battle to retain their spot on the 53-man squad in 2021.
