If it were up to Shannon Sharpe, Kyle Kuzma would trade him from Los Angeles for the phone number of a famous R&B singer.

The Los Angeles Lakers will have one of the more interesting offseasons in the NBA. Their top priority should be making sure Anthony Davis and LeBron James are 100 percent healthy. The superstar duo battled injuries last season, which derailed the entire team. Another thing LA must do is find the talent to build around the two stars, given their limited finances.

It will be hard for the Lakers to do much in terms of adding quality talent unless they trade some of their players. One of the players who are talked about the most is Kyle Kuzma. He hasn’t lived up to expectations and had a horrid outing in the postseason. The four-year forward’s lack of development has many people thinking that Los Angeles will try to trade him.

If FOX Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe had it his way, he’d give away Kuzma for the 10-digit phone number of a talented songwriter.

Shannon Sharpe says he would trade Kyle Kuzma for Keyshia Cole’s phone number.

Shannon Sharpe’s personality and blunt approach to topics has made him a well-known figure during his playing career and his time as an analyst for FOX and CBS. He doesn’t hide his fandom of the Lakers, and he hasn’t been the biggest fan of Kyle Kuzma, especially after his abysmal outing this postseason. When asked if Kuzma or center Andre Drummond were a better fit for LA next season, the former NFL tight end threw some massive shade at the Lakers forward.

“Man, y’all better stop playing with me; I told y’all what I’d do. Right now, I’d trade Kyle Kuzma for Keyshia Cole’s number,” Sharpe said on his show Undisputed Thursday.

Sharpe did mention he was playing, but all good jokes have some truth in them. It’s no secret that the Lakers will be exploring what they can get for Kuzma this upcoming offseason. He has the potential to be a quality player, but it hasn’t happened in LA. So maybe a change of scenery will help this young player get things back on track.

The Lakers probably won’t call Uncle Shannon for any trading advice after detailing his trade package for Kuzma.
