Aaron Rodgers finally gives Green Bay Packer fans a timeline on his return

After an offseason of endless bickering and drama, Aaron Rodgers has seemingly let us know when he’ll return to the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t stopped admiring the mushroom could he created when he dropped a trade request bomb back in April, but it appears resolution is on the horizon.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP ever since he finished his postgame press conference of the NFC Championship Game back in January. Since then, Rodgers has traveled around the globe with his fiancé, attended the Kentucky Derby, guest-hosted Jeopardy, and participated in a charity golf match with Tom Brady.
A common thread connecting all of these offseason events is each one was used as a platform to take every one of those outings as opportunities to take thinly veiled shots at the Packers.
His vacation photos were letting everyone know he was as far away from Green Bay as possible, a Jeopardy contestant threw him an alley-oop troll, as did Tom Brady during one of his pre-match trash talk sessions.
It’s clear that the main character in this drama is chewing up every scene he’s in, but the end credits are going to roll sooner rather than later.
Latest on Aaron Rodgers: Packers QB gives update on his return
Rodgers was at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Tahoe, and finally gave Packers fans the hope they’ve been waiting for all offseason long.
“I’m going to enjoy the hell out of this week. And then get back to working out, and figure things out in a couple weeks,” Rodgers said when asked about his future plans.

This is the first time Rodgers has showed his hand, and it’s the first sign that he’ll end this drama by eventually returning to the Packers for at least one more season. He’s never mentioned a timeline before, and if we’ve read into everything else he’s said this offseason we can absolutely read into his ‘a few weeks’ comment.
Rodgers knows it’s impossible to avoid being asked the biggest question football fans want to know, and he has clearly enjoyed every second of indulging both us and himself in the ongoing drama.
But this latest quote is two things: Proof that the bit that has gone on too long and the first sign that Rodgers won’t push the Big Red Button.
He won’t be retiring, he probably won’t sit out more than a few games this season, and he won’t be wearing a uniform that isn’t green and yellow in 2021. All dramas have to end, and it would appear that we’re entering the third of this one.
