Not since Babe Ruth has a baseball player been this good at so many things, and Ohtani is only getting started.

Home Run Derby results: Who won the Home Run Derby 2021?

While we’re here, let’s talk about what is arguably the best part of the All-Star Game: The Home Run Derby results.

Shohei Ohtani made his Derby debut and turned in an instant classic duel with Juan Soto. Ohtani ended up losing, but not after the full time, a bonus round, and a three-pitch Swing Off was needed to decide a winner.

For all the hype and awesomeness of the Ohtani-Soto showdown, the show belonged to reigning Home Run Derby champion Pete Alonso.

The Mets star successfully defended his crown, winning back-to-back titles and doing so in absolutely epic fashion.

Alonso defeated Trey Mancini in the Final.
