Chris Paul, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns are chasing their first NBA championship.

The Phoenix Suns hope the drought is over. This is their first trip to the NBA Finals since 1993 when they lost in six games to the Chicago Bulls and some guy named Michael Jordan.

Their first trip came in 1976 when they lost to the Boston Celtics in six games.

In fact, not a single member of the Suns’ squad has won an NBA title before. Only Jae Crowder has been to the NBA Finals before this season.

Have the Phoenix Suns ever won the NBA championship?

Perhaps the biggest knocks on the Hall-of-Fame careers of Suns legends Charles Barkley and Steve Nash is neither of won an NBA championship. That’s a fate Chris Paul — a 16-year NBA veteran and 11-time All-Star in his first trip to the Finals — is trying to avoid.

The Suns are one of 11 current teams still searching for their first NBA title. Phoenix has a chance to take a 3-1 lead over the Milwaukee Bucks in Wednesday’s Game 4.

If they do, they’ll be one win away from hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are chasing their first NBA title since 1971.
