While there have been millions of Olympic athletes all over the world since the dawn of the modern olympics. We count down the top 10  most decorated Summer Olympians of all time.

“Olympian” is a title that is understood across the world. But if you grab the title of a decorated  Olympian, the title means that much more. The success of your athletic ability can be seen at the tangible level. You have medals to prove your athletic prowess.

In order to be considered, you have to have more than seven medals. In the event that Olympians have the same number of medals, gold medals are considered to carry more weight.

So yeah, Michael Phelps is unsurprisingly going to be on here …
