Chicago Bears could draft Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver George Pickens

Pickens has a Day 2 grade, depending on who you ask. The Georgia wideout has shown tremendous flashes but thus far, hasn’t shown the consistency to warrant being a first-round pick.

That’ll work out just fine for the Bears, who don’t have a first-round pick in 2022. Pickens is the kind of athletic wideout who could fill Robinson’s shoes admirably, or perhaps alongside the likes of a Smith-Schuster, and create a solid wideout core.

Pickens played in just five games last season, so expect his numbers to increase dramatically from the 36-catch, 513-yard production with the Dawgs in 2020. JT Daniels is a competent passer, and Pickens has a lot to prove.

Should Pickens play his way out of being a Day 2 pick, Justyn Ross of Clemson is an intriguing option as well. Coming off of injury, Ross is a solid possession target who has experience playing with NFL-caliber passers at Clemson.
