When is the 2021 NBA Draft set to take place? Learn the date and time to tune in as NBA teams make the selections that could change the league.

The end of July means a new NBA champion crowned, which will put all eyes on the future of the league.

The next generation of NBA stars is on the way. They just have to wait to hear their names called during the 2021 NBA Draft.

The NBA Draft stage awaits.

What is the date and time for the 2021 NBA Draft?

This year’s NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, July 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET at the Barclay’s Center in New York.

The Detroit Pistons won the NBA Draft Lottery, giving them the first selection on the board. They haven’t been in that position since 1970 when they picked up Hall-of-Fame center Bob Lanier. They’ll try to pick a similarly successful player when they make the call on draft night.

The Houston Rockets will pick second, followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Magic again, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans round out the top-10 picks.

There is plenty of talent available in this draft. While Cade Cunningham of Oklahoma State is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick, a strong case could be made for Evan Mobley out of USC and or Jalen Green from the G League as the top player available.

Future championship teams will be made on July 29. You won’t want to miss the drama and excitement.
