Per league rules, Toney can still take part in team meetings, but heāll have to do so remotely. Obviously, this isnāt what the Giants had in mind for the No. 20 overall pick with the NFL 2021 campaign right around the corner.
Things havenāt gone swimmingly for Toney, as on top of this latest breaking news, he also missed some time during minicamp. Now, heās away from the team and will have to get cleared before he can start catching passes from signal-caller Daniel Jones.
The Giants had another year to forget in 2020, finishing the campaign with a 6-10 record. Theyāll look at Toney to help spread the field and make big-time plays throughout his first season in the pros. First, heāll have to wait before given the green light to get back on the field.
