3 Phoenix Suns players who won’t be back next season
The Phoenix Suns must reset and reload for another title run, but these three players won’t be a part of that quest in 2021.
The Phoenix Suns‘ magical NBA season came to an unceremonious end. After taking a 2-0 lead on the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company won four straight the capture the NBA title. It was a hard defeat for a Phoenix team on an unforgettable ride since the postseason began.
Nevertheless, life moves on, and the Suns must refocus and prepare for another shot at a championship. Unfortunately, these three players won’t be back for the 2021-22 season.
3. E’Twaun Moore
Because Cameron Payne proved to be a valuable asset for the Suns all year long, E’Twaun Moore probably won’t return in 2021. He only signed a one-year deal with Phoenix last offseason, meaning he’ll be a free agent this summer. He played in 27 games during the regular season, playing mostly as the third-string point guard.
The Suns have their priorities set at guard, as they are expected to re-sign Chris Paul if he declines his player option. If he does, that opens the door for the team to re-sign Payne to an extension as well. Plus, with Moore being 32 years old, Phoenix can find another third-string option at point guard through free agency or the NBA Draft.
