The Ben Simmons trade demands from Morey are bordering on being a bit extreme at this point
The boldness of the Philadelphia 76ers in getting everything they want from the Ben Simmons trade has reached the West Coast after talks with the Golden State Warriors.
Has Philadelphia been going through something? Because that’s the only viable answer for what we are about to go through in this wild ride of an article.
As we know, the 2021 NBA Draft is underway, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Ben Simmons is looking elsewhere from the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers and Simmons share common ground in wanting a change of scenery, but not without having an absolutely abysmal conversation with the Golden State Warriors first.
Here’s how this umpteenth negotiation unsuccessfully went down.
The Sixers want Simmons for the Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman and four first-round draft picks
What does that say???
If you need to read that a few times, be my guest. To no one’s surprise, the Warriors front office isn’t taking that deal if the basketball gods themselves told them to. Keith Pompey of The Inquirer ran through the list of the previous offers Philly went through, including the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets (for James Harden, no less) and Toronto Raptors.
You have to wonder if they’re just spitballing trade proposals until some gullible team decides to take it.
Sacramento Kings, don’t even think about it.
It’s like that one roommate that overextends their stay but has no inkling of wanting to leave or break the lease. Even when you call mutual friends to get rid of them, there are no takers and you just suffer silently, hoping that they just go away. But in this case… you might as well just stick it out until the lease runs dry.
